Local West Texas boy makes good. Roy Orbison was a good friend of my 9th grade English teacher, Ms. Stuckey from Wink. Roy also once had a half hour TV program on KMID-TV in Midland.

Interesting and although not groovy note, but only to say that Ms. Claiborne was the music teacher of Roy. Perhaps you knew her also.
