A San Antonio band, the Sir Douglas Quintet let some Tex-Mex influences shade their work, a classic band. I once walked into the student union building at Trinity University and there was Sir Doug performing.....

13th Floor Elevator...
A band somewhat in the background, but now claiming near cult status, 13th Floor Elevator was a band I knew well, one of the members having briefly gone to my alma mater Trinity University. The band has come to be recognized as probably the very first psychedelic group.
